My Small One,
So! Doping off on the job, I'll bet if I ever become anyone's
boss, my stenogs and office girld won't find it difficult to get
up and come to work mornings. I'll first give them Dr. Bostick's
knee-sitting course -- or my "Pointers on Promoting Productive
Prestige". Would you like to enroll?
The yearlings are all bedded down for the night. Only occasionally
do 1 hear a lowing fron the stables. They're looking
interestedly forward to this marriage almost as enthusiastically
as I -- hmmmm, I wonder.
(16 days, me proud beauty).
What with all the suitors Miss Greatrex has brushed off, one wnders
how I ever got into the picture. But I'm there and try and reuove ue.
No, I don't think the wedding will be as uproarious as you fear. I'll
do everything possible to make it a quiet one -- since that's what we
both want. A few people are, of course, inevitable. We'll leave just
as lt converges on a drinking bout.
Incidentally, I got the deed fixed up -- had to make it over again,
but it's on its merry way back.
It very late, Small One -- and I must straighten up this pile of
papers for tomorrow. Goodnight
| Does each man see
This "surging up to skies"
Does each man feel
The pain of all that dies
In what he loves?
Do all their days
Banded and whipped
And barred, find ways
To feel the surging out
The rushing in --
Does each one hear
Alone above the din
And livings' rattle --
One clear call --
Soundless -- and yet
Mightier than all!
